Billing Preference

Dues and Financial Information
Beth El is a membership driven organization and we depend on the generosity of our members to support the community and allow Beth El to be the home for traditional Judaism in Durham-Chapel Hill. Beth El’s policy is to never let financial resources prevent someone from being a fully-participating member of the community. If you need to discuss reduced dues or tuition, please contact our Executive Director, Alan Friedman, at 919-682-1238 or alan@betheldurham.org for a confidential and dignified conversation.
Kiddush & Oneg Fund, Sisterhood, and MoB

Kiddush is an important part of the culture of Beth El. Your contribution in time, effort or sponsorship funds help make the Shabbat and holiday Kiddushim more meaningful and enjoyable for our community. One of the joys of Beth El membership is enjoying this time together- which is about so much more than noshing.

As a member of the community, we ask you to support the Kiddushim in one of two ways:

Option 1: Hosting a Kiddush- You can either team up with a group of friends or we can help you find a group that will prepare and serve a Kiddush meal on a Shabbat or holiday during the year. The office will follow up with you about choosing a date and group preferences.

Option 2: Sponsoring a Kiddush- By selecting this option you agree to contribute $136 that will co-sponsor a meal, prepared by our caterer, along with a group of other families.

New members receive complimentary membership.
Membership costs $18 per person.
