Latke Cooking Masterclass - Harry's Baked Latkes and Laughs
Sunday, November 21, 3:00 pm

Looking to learn how to fry the perfect potato latke?.....Starch here.

The entire Beth El community is invited at 3:00 pm EST on Sunday, November 21 to attend a live, virtual, interactive family friendly latke making masterclass!

In the latke masterclass, we’ll get to the root of your latke issues and help you make your next batch absolutely spud-tacular! This masterclass will teach you oil you really need to know to make the perfect latke - one that is golden brown, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside.
The class will be conducted via Zoom, live from Israel, direct to your kitchen.

At the start of the cooking class, Chef Harry Rubenstein will give an introduction where he briefly explains the history of what we are making and go over the ingredients (ingredients / supplies list will be emailed to registered attendees a week prior to the event).  Then we dive into the cooking!

Chef Harry is patient and happy to answer all questions during the class at any point. During the class, Harry also tells stories, explains the origin of the ingredients and more. Chef Harry will keep the class fun and interactive, allowing for questions, etc.

This class is free to our Beth El community (if you are able, a suggested donation of $10 per household would be appreciated). Upon registration, more details will follow via email.

Meet our Chef and Instructor, Harry Rubenstein:
Harry Rubenstein is an Israel based pastry chef, culinary guide, storyteller, outdoor market obsessive, and a self-proclaimed expert on Jewish baked goods — sweet and savory. He’s been shopping and eating at Israel’s markets for over 20 years and is happy to share his experience and knowledge in hands-on virtual cooking classes.

This event will be lots of fun for the whole family.  The MoB hopes you can join us!
